The Climate Strong Islands Declaration sets forth a set of principles, challenges, and opportunities faced by island communities in the United States and calls on federal and state government agencies, the private and nonprofit sectors, academia, the philanthropic community, and the general public to help these communities respond to the climate crisis in an effective way.

The Climate Strong Islands Network (CSIN) is fiscally hosted by The Ocean Foundation (TOF). TOF is proud to support those organizations working to advance climate resilience around the world, with specific focus on coalition building and expanding equitable resource distribution. 

TOF's mission is to support, strengthen, and promote those organizations dedicated to reversing the trend of destruction of ocean environments around the world. As the only community foundation for the ocean, the organization works to advance innovative, customized solutions to protect our coasts and oceans.
